I am more guilty than most women, but we all have more handbags than we need, and yet we cannot stop buying them. But what a practical investment, after all, how much would an original Chanel handbag from the 1960s cost you now? If you were lucky enough to find one. Like fine diamonds, a really nice designer bag can be used for many years and then held onto until you can give it to your granddaughter and she will still be in fashion. That is a well made high style handbag. Another great factor about handbags is they do not change in style as dramatically from year to year as clothing does. This fact alone makes investing as much as you can afford into a well constructed handbag will turn out to be a great investment for you. Consider the ones pictured above, these will be acceptable for years to come and twenty years from now pull it out of the closet and viola, you are back in fashion once more. Sometimes a few dollars more is money well spent.
